  • TCP - Trace Constitutes Positive - BAC legal limit for drivers under the age of 21, which, since 1989, has been the uniform minimum purchase age for alcoholic beverages throughout the U.S.
  • Legal liability - insures against claims against the driver or owner of the vehicle following the vehicle causing damage or injury to a third party.
  • Legal drinking age - the minimum age one must be to drink alcohol. In most countries this is 16 or 18, but there are notable exceptions such as China, which has no minimum drinking age and the United States, where the minimum drinking age is 21.
  • Breath alcohol ignition interlock device - BIID or IID is a breathalyzer installed into a car that will not allow the car to start until given a breath sample that has a lower Breath Alcohol Content BAC than the ignition interlock has programmed into it.
  • Advanced Driving or defensive driving - a more advanced form of driver training to reduce the risk of driving by anticipating dangerous situations, despite adverse conditions and/or the incorrect actions of other drivers.
