  • Felony - in many common law legal systems, is the term for a very serious crime, misdemeanors are considered to be less serious.
  • Taxi - generally a form of transport where one pays for conveyance based on the time or distance traveled. Example: taxicab.
  • Alcohol tolerance - refers to a decreased response to the effects of ethanol in alcoholic beverages. This reduced sensitivity requires that higher quantities of alcohol be consumed in order to achieve the same effects as before tolerance began to occur.
  • Open container laws - US laws which prohibit possessing and/or drinking from a open container of alcohol in certain areas. Common examples include inside an automobile, or outdoors. Some jurisdictions may even classify drinking inside a parked automobile as Driving under the influence rather than merely an open container violation.
  • DUI DWI Penalties - Some U.S. states also increase the penalties for drunk driving (even to the point of making it a felony) if certain other aggravating circumstances besides a very high BAC are present.
