  • Manslaughter - also called criminally negligent homicide.
  • Alcoholism - a dependency on alcoholic beverages characterized by craving (a strong need to drink), loss of control (being unable to stop drinking despite a desire to do so), physical dependence, tolerance (increasing difficulty of becoming drunk) and withdrawal symptoms.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous (known commonly as A.A. or AA) - a world-wide fellowship of alcoholics whose primary purpose is to stay sober and carry the message of recovery from alcoholism through the Twelve Steps.
  • U.S. Legal limit - All states have an illegal limit of 0.08%. Some states also include a lesser charge, driving while impaired, at a BAC of around 0.05%.
